Plans & billing — Sublyra Help Center

1. The two plans

Every plan includes the product page widget, the customer portal, selling plans & subscribe-and-save, core analytics, and the full retention stack — dunning, cancellation flows, win-back campaigns and bundles. Churn tools are the reason to pick Sublyra, not an upsell, so they're free. Neither plan charges transaction fees.

PlanMonthlyTransaction feeSubscribersAdds
Free $0 None Up to 300 Widget, portal, selling plans, core analytics, smart retries & dunning, cancellation flows, win-back campaigns, bundles & build-a-box
Pro $39 None Unlimited Loyalty rewards & store credit, referral program, cohort retention analytics, REST API access, priority support & 1:1 onboarding

Pro includes a 30-day free trial. Free is free forever — no trial needed, no monthly bill.

Where to manage your plan: Sublyra admin → Settings → Plan & billing. Full feature-by-feature comparison: sublyra.com/pricing.

2. How you're charged

Your Sublyra bill has one part, handled by Shopify's own billing — charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and you approve each new charge on Shopify's own screen:

  • Platform fee — the flat monthly (or yearly) price of your plan.
  • Usage fee — none. Neither plan charges a percentage or per-transaction fee, so a great month never becomes a surprise bill. (Subscriptions started before this pricing change may carry legacy usage line items until they churn.)

Behind the scenes the flow is exactly what Shopify designed:

1 You pick a plan; the app calls Shopify's Billing API.

2 Shopify shows its own approval screen; you confirm there.

3 Shopify redirects back with the charge active and bills every 30 days (or yearly, if you chose that).

Read the estimate, not the sticker. Each plan card on the Plan & billing page shows what your store would pay on that plan, computed from your real order volume. With no usage fees the estimate is simply the plan price — the only question is whether you've outgrown the Free plan's 300-subscriber cap.

3. Monthly vs yearly

The Monthly / Yearly toggle on the Plan & billing page switches how you're billed:

  • Yearly = 10 × monthly — two months free, a saving of about 17% (Pro yearly is $390 instead of $468).
  • There are no usage fees on either cycle — the plan price is the whole bill.
  • Yearly bills through Shopify as an annual charge, approved the same way.

4. Add-ons

Don't need a full upgrade? On Free, add individual features for the prices below. Pro already includes every add-on capability — the billing page shows nothing left to buy.

Loyalty rewards$14.99/moRecurring (Billing API)Streak rewards and store credit

  • Each add-on is its own Shopify charge you approve in Shopify admin — same names and prices as sublyra.com/pricing.
  • Removing a recurring add-on cancels its charge and locks the feature. Removing a one-time add-on only removes access; the one-time charge is not refunded.
  • Add-ons already included in your plan are hidden as covered — you never pay twice. Upgrading to Pro cancels redundant recurring add-on charges automatically.

5. Switching plans

1 Open Sublyra admin → Settings → Plan & billing.

2 Pick Monthly or Yearly, compare the per-store estimates, and click Switch to [plan].

3 Approve the new charge on Shopify's confirmation screen.

4 Shopify redirects back; the new plan activates and the old plan's charge is cancelled. Any add-ons now included in your new plan are cancelled too — the page tells you how many.

Changed your mind at the approval screen? Declining or closing it leaves everything exactly as it was — the page shows "The charge was not completed — nothing changed."

6. Cancelling

There is no cancellation fee and no notice period:

  • Drop to Free: switch to the Free plan on the Plan & billing page. All live charges are cancelled; your subscriptions keep running on the free tier (up to 300 subscribers).
  • Leave entirely: uninstalling the app from Shopify admin cancels every Sublyra charge through Shopify automatically.

Your subscribers' contracts are Shopify objects — they exist independently of your plan. Downgrading changes which Sublyra features you can use, not whether existing subscribers get billed.

7. FAQ

When does the 30-day trial start?

When you approve your first Pro charge on Shopify's screen. Free has no trial because it has no monthly fee.

What counts as a "subscription transaction"?

A successful subscription charge — the checkout order that starts a subscription and each renewal after it. It only matters for your analytics now: no plan charges per-transaction fees.

What happens if I outgrow my subscriber cap?

The Plan & billing page flags estimates that exceed the Free plan's 300-subscriber cap, and the dashboard shows a persistent banner as you approach it, so you'll see it coming. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited subscribers.

Do you take a cut of one-time sales?

No — and we don't take a cut of subscription sales either. No plan charges transaction fees.
